John Carr is the Chief Executive Officer of Metaphor Software, an innovative software development company specializing in Microsoft technology based products and integration.

Metaphor was founded in 2004, with the goal of linking master technologists with clients facing significant and challenging technical projects. John's insight and ability to recognize promising opportunities has made Metaphor Software an innovative leader in creating solutions to meet the ever-changing needs of clients in target vertical markets that include Not For Profit, Education, Manufacturing, Distribution and Government sectors.

Prior to Metaphor Software, John served as Vice President of Product Solutions at Tectura Corporation, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, from 2000-2004. While there, he created a national business unit – an act that resulted in the genesis of a multi-million dollar revenue stream. He also played a key role in securing crucial equity funding for them. His entrepreneurial drive also led him to create three of his own startups, which he later sold.

John has a Bachelor of Administration degree from Dominican University and continued his education with executive programs venturing and entrepreneurship from Wharton Steinberg Center. He also serves on the board of Bechtold Development Corporation.

Jesper is one of the driving forces in processes and innovation within Metaphor Software. His role is varied – as part of the management team setting company direction, R & D for new products, business development, and lead for the Microsoft Dynamics^TM AX practice. He is a problem solver and challenges himself and others to perform to make things happen.

Without question Jesper is one of the foremost authorities in the world on the Microsoft Dynamics^TM AX product. A native of Denmark, Jesper has worked for a variety of technology based companies, most significantly with Damgaard. He was on the original development team of Microsoft Dynamics^TM AX and later led the quality assurance team for the product.

After moving to the United States, Jesper became Chief Software Architect, for Microsoft Dynamics^TM AX at Tectura Corporation, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner.

Jesper has a Bachelor of Commerce (HD) in Commerce and Environmental Management from the Copenhagen Business School - Copenhagen, DK.

Jesper is on the Board of Directors for The Music Corp. Ltd. and DanaCare A/S.

In his role as Chief Architect, Scott is involved in the strategic planning, design and building of new and existing product offerings and enhancements. Additional responsibilities include setting company direction as part of the management team and lead for the Microsoft Dynamics^TM CRM practice.

He began his early career with IBM as a systems analyst working on the AS400. While there, he was particularly adept at creating and developing conversion tools for migrations of code and application data from one accounting software platform to another. He also worked in the IBM development labs. Prior to coming to Metaphor, he co-founded an IT consulting and solution deployment firm in the Chicago area.

His diverse background with a variety of accounting programs provides a broad platform to analyze existing functional problems and provide creative solutions. He has led the development activities for many products built on Microsoft Dynamics^TM AX and CRM. His implementation and development experience spans across five different ERP systems, giving him an integral knowledge and a solid application background across many vertical markets.

Scott is a graduate of Northern Illinois University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

Scott Walker has worked at Metaphor Software since 2005, and currently serves as Senior Project Manger on projects involving Government clients and Not For Profit customers.

Scott has extensive experience in providing various services to government entities, including software solutions and automated accounting systems. His expertise in GASB34 Compliance, RFP generation and system selection is demonstrated throughout his past successful projects, which include 20 state library systems, 15 county government systems, and over 50 city government projects.

A leader in dealing with the government sector and the accompanying compliance issues, Scott was the founder of Public Sector Group, LLC. He also acted as a National Center of Excellence Leader for the Not For Profit/Government for GSO, a Technical Leader for the GASB 34 assessment team, as well as being the Co-Developer at BKD, LLP for Technical Consulting Methodology.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Butler University. His strong leadership skills, as well as his expertise in government and compliance issues, make him a key asset at Metaphor Software.

Al has 30 years of experience in the field of consultative software sales. His sales and managerial experience has helped Metaphor expand and thrive.

After starting his sales career with Burroughs, he moved on to positions at mid-size and start-up software firms. Al was a founding member of Uniface in North America, an application development tools vendor, where he helped propel the company to become a leading client/server development tool supplier (one which was later acquired by Compuware in 1994 for $400 million).

Al later became part of a team that guided Docent, a human-capital management software company, to a successful Initial Public Offering in 2000 – one which later led to a merger with Click2Learn in 2004.

A graduate of Northern Illinois University, Al earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance.

Gary brings more than 20 years of experience to the Metaphor team in the VAR channel, implementing both ERP and CRM software applications. His role at Metaphor is to provide project management along with implementation, setup and problem solving expertise with the Microsoft^TM AX platform.

His industry experience centers on distribution, service, public sector and light manufacturing, where he’s served in roles as developer, business analyst, implementation lead, project manager, and team leader. This range of experience gives clients a true problem solver who can apply solutions in creative and efficient ways. Gary has held prior positions with Affinity Technology and Tectura Corporation, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner.

Gary has strong experience and skills in Microsoft Dynamics^TM implementation, specializing in significant integration issues and customization of components. He’s been involved with Microsoft Dynamics^TM AX since the 3.0 release and with Microsoft Dynamics^TM GP since the 1.0 release.

He is a graduate of the University of Illinois, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
